The change column reaches back further than the window control does: it is this window's buzz against the same symbol's average over the past 7 days — a week behind 24h, a month behind 7d, a quarter behind 30d. Only settled UTC days go into that average; today so far is a fraction of a day, and measuring it against a full one ranked the board by how late in the day you happened to look. A symbol the longer board does not carry reads as new and is left out of Rising and Cooling rather than ranked on a shorter span than the rows around it. The tone bar is the provider's own split of snippets into positive, neutral and negative — the neutral share is shown because it is usually the largest, and a split scored from fewer than five snippets is marked thin. Only the board on screen is fetched, and each one is cached. Buzz comes from Adanos · Reddit, stocks, measured over yesterday and today so far.
